At DivorceCanBeSimple, we believe everyone should have access to clear and affordable resources. This is especially important during challenging times like divorce. Throughout the years, we focused on providing straightforward information and tools for those going through uncontested divorce on their own. Now, we’re excited to support law students who share our dedication to making family law information accessible and understandable through this scholarship program.
Overview
We invite law students currently enrolled in the US academic institutions to apply by submitting a 1,000-1,500 word article. The scholarship application form will include the list of family law topics to consider, and participants are welcome to choose alternative options to their liking from the same field. The winner will receive a $2,500 scholarship, and we will honor the runner ups with additional awards of $100 for second place and third place.
Eligibility Rules
- Open to law students enrolled in U.S.-based academic institutions.
- Participants must be current students not graduating in 2025.
Submission Requirements
We would ask you to fill out this form to apply. Here’s the information that will be required:
- Your full name and contact information
- Copy of transcripts and/or acceptance letter
- LinkedIn or social media links
- State of residency
- Short bio
- A 1000-1500-word article on a chosen family law topic.
Article Requirements
In order to qualify, the article you submit should be:
- Written in English.
- AI and plagiarism-free.
- Based on the family law topic you choose.
- Limited to a 1000-1500 word count.
- Cited and references where necessary.
- Grounded in up-to-date, credible information
- Accessible to readers with little to no legal background.
No specific formatting style is required.

Please submit your article by March 1, 2025. The application form will stop accepting responses at 12AM CST.
When will the winners be selected?
We will select the winners by March 15, 2025.
